There is not one childhood memory that I've had where trips to Taiwan weren't involved. In December 2011, I finally got to show Hubs where I spent every summer of my life until my twenties, where my extensive extended family still live, where I have lifelong friends, where my father is laid to rest, and most importantly, where I have always left a piece of my heart. It was such an emotional and rewarding journey to my roots through Hub's eyes. This particular trip drew us closer in ways that words can't describe. And, at the end of it all, Hubs fell in love with everything I love about this place. We simply can't wait to be reunited with family and friends in October, in a country that has captured pieces of both our hearts.
