"Czech" out Prague (Part One): Architecture and Views

I seem to say this about every place we go, and sometimes, you've got to wonder if I just think everywhere is beautiful and fantastic. But Prague is truly a gorgeous and romantic city. What a perfect combination for our anniversary celebration! It's located about 4 hours away from Vienna, so basically the same distance as from Baltimore to New York City. Although, I wouldn't recommend it for just a weekend trip like you would with NYC. There is too much ground to cover in Prague and even with five days, it seemed like we've only scratched the surface.

Just seeing the architecture and backdrop of this city makes me understand why it's a coveted place for filmmakers. Mission Impossible (the first one and Ghost Protocol), Amadeus,  Casino Royale are just a few of the films filmed here.

See the black "dots" on the building? They left the cannon balls lodged in the walls of the building, and have repaired around them as a memory of the siege of Prague in 1757 by the Prussian army.

Of course there is no trip without some quirky pictures to go with it

Such a waste of perfectly manicured grass that you can't even frolic in.

A Roomba that's for grass? Where was this brilliant invention when we lived back in the States?

Never seen an Albino peacock til Prague!

We also witnessed a few couples getting their wedding pictures taken. So sweet!

And lastly, it's not a trip to Prague without seeking some of David Černý sculptures
