"Czech" Out Prague (Part Three): Foodie Fun

As much as we love food, you'd think we were 300 pound rollie pollies. We usually don't eat that much, I swear! For our actual anniversary, I had arranged for us to eat our way through Prague. It was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better time. Just a forewarning, the following may make you drool excessively on your keyboard. I won't be responsible for any damages incurred!!!

Special Czech brown-spotted cows- beef shoulder clod slow roasted with shallots and oregano

slow-grilled chicken with truffle stuffing and juice from the grill with black truffles

the rest of the spread- beef steak tartare with toasted bread and raw garlic, grilled Prestice pork sausage with mustard and fresh horseradish, braised spinach, fried cheese (Olomoucke syrecky) wrapped in bacon and served with homemade mayonnaise, Czech trout roasted with Beluga lentils and beet roots, Czech escargots boiled with root vegetables, baked in mushrooms and served with Sabayonne mousse, garden salad, potato dumplings, potato mash boiled in whole milk

Tried a little of everything and went back for 2nds and 3rds.

homemade beer ice cream (OMG)

chlebicek (pronounced "khlebeeczech"), the open-faced sandwiches, at a "Svetozor" deli

A variety of Czech sweets (the bakery is owned by French/Czech family). AMAZE-BALLS!!!

A few hours later...we went out for our anniversary dinner!
